Enjoying Your Relationship

In this first booklet, Enjoying Your Relationship, we will turn our attention to God’s design for the marriage relationship. In session one, we will look at the cultural confusion that has come into our churches, upsetting whole families, and why it is critical for families to have guidelines for living within the household of God. In session two, we will begin building a framework for our marriages, examining the essential roles and responsibilities of husbands and wives to each other. In session three, we will look at the heart—or spirit—of a marriage, the emotional glue of the relationship, and how it affects our effectiveness for Christ. In session four, we will look at marriage relationships in the context of community life, and the critical role that the local church community plays in building strong marriages. Finally, in session five, we will look at the intergenerational rewards of building lifelong marriages within the context of Christ’s plan for the ages.  The sixth session is the integrating session, which unites all five sessions together, deepening your conviction and practice related to the principles.
